Description

The Pelvic floor is a group of muscles that coordinate to control bowel movements, urination, sexual performance, and sexual pleasure. Pelvic floor disorders describe common symptoms such as urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse, and accidental leakage of stool or gas. These conditions commonly affect women with symptoms and typically worsen with age. Many suffer needlessly from these symptoms although there are many effective treatments. Jeppson will discuss symptoms, causes and available treatments to address pelvic floor disorders to improve or resolve symptoms, and restore quality of life.
