Description

Treasure hunting in your neighborhood! Geocaching is an outdoor hobby that uses your smartphone to lead you to hidden “caches” tucked away in local parks, along bosque trails, under bridges, and near familiar buildings across the city. Learn how the geocaching app works, how your phone guides you to each location, and what you might find inside a cache. We’ll also cover the different types of caches you can search for. There are more than 200 geocaches hidden throughout Albuquerque, waiting to be discovered. Before the class, it is recommended to sign up for a free account at geocaching.com and download the app on your smartphone.
