Description
Take a walking tour of the Water Authority’s wastewater treatment plant, where all of Albuquerque’s wastewater is treated. Follow the step-by-step flow of the water from the intake facility, through the treatment process until the cleaned water is emptied into the river. Note: Because you are going to a working plant, OSHA requires everyone to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for safety reasons. There is a walk of about 2 miles including going out to the river, and ascending stairs. Everyone is required to wear a hard hat, which will be provided. Limited enrollment.
