Today, there is a demand for drones with diverse capabilities for civilian and military applications to operate in various environments and perform a range of missions. The advantages that drones offer have led to extensive research focused on optimizing and enhancing their performance. Mostafa Hassanalian updates his previous drone presentation and focuses on how engineers can apply efficient, nature-inspired solutions to modern engineering problems.

Mostafa Hassanalian is an associate professor, dean’s research scholar, and director of the Autonomous Flight and Aquatic Systems Laboratory at New Mexico Tech. He earned his PhD and master’s from New Mexico State University. He has been recognized as one of the Top 2% of Cited Scientists Worldwide. He runs the K-12 Drone Program at New Mexico Tech.
