Back by popular demand! Join us for a hands-on introduction to metalsmithing at the fully equipped Meltdown Studio in Albuquerque. In this four-hour workshop, learn techniques including cutting, texturing, stamping, soldering, making findings, polishing, and more. Take home several completed metal projects including a beautiful textured sterling silver ring band. No previous experience is required, just a desire to create. All materials and tools are provided. Participants may bring a snack. Limited enrollment.
Margie Weinstein is a native New Mexican who has worked as a studio potter for 25 years and retired from teaching jewelry and ceramics at Albuquerque Public Schools. She is a bench mate and instructor at Meltdown where she has taught a variety of classes.
