Description

This year, the Trump administration has pursued aggressive trade policies with higher import tariffs on nearly every US trading partner, thereby challenging the post-WWII global trade order. What are the economic fundamentals of tariffs and trade? How have the new tariffs affected the US and other economies so far, and what are the (un)expected long-term impacts? These are some of the questions addressed in this class.
