Description

Aging is inevitable. Isolation is not. Discuss how to show up for the people we love, and the neighbors we barely know, during times of illness, dying, and loss. Explore the limits of medical care, the power of community presence, and simple steps to build circles of support so no one faces the end of life alone. Leave knowing how to reach out when words feel impossible, how to offer help that actually helps, and how to be a steady presence through illness, dying, and loss.

Danielle Slupesky has spent her life caring for others, beginning as an EMT at age 18 and later as an ER nurse. A life-threatening illness and near-death experience taught her surrender, resilience, and deep compassion for those facing serious illness or end-of-life. As a death doula, Slupesky guides individuals and families, helping them plan, make informed choices, and embrace death with love, courage, and dignity.
