The Austin Book Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month, and newcomers are always welcome. Book selections are: September 8 – The Tennis Partner by Abraham Verghese; October 13 – There are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak; November 10 – North of Ordinary: How One Woman Left It All Behind for Wilderness and Wonder in Alaska’s Frozen Frontier by Sue Aikens; and December 8 – The Librarian of Burned Books by Brianna Labuskes. Limited enrollment.

John Schultz has a BA in American history from Yale and a JD in law from the University of Virginia.  Since childhood, Schultz has been an avid reader of literature, biography, and other non-fiction, and he has taught literature in secondary schools. He recently retired from a 45-year career in environmental and Native American law and now has much more time to read and discuss books.
