Description

Join Albuquerque Museum assistant curator for art, William Gassaway, for a guided tour of The Woods Before Sunrise: Environment and Place in New Mexico’s Black Contemporary. The exhibit features nine New Mexico-based contemporary artists who collectively ask: What makes a “landscape”—and who gets to decide? Offering an expansive exploration into the meanings of place and belonging, this exhibition offers bold new perspectives on the universal themes of sustainability, cultural history, and our personal connections to nature. Limited enrollment.

William Gassaway is assistant curator for art at the Albuquerque Museum.
