Low-impact, weight-bearing exercises like yoga can strengthen bones. Yoga can also improve muscle strength, flexibility, and stability. Join Gloria Drayer to develop a routine aimed at maintaining or rebuilding the health of your bones. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. No previous experience necessary. Session 1 is done standing or sitting, no mat required. Have a mat or towel for the floor for session 2. Session 1 is done standing or seated–no mat required. Bring a mat/towel to Session 2. Gloria Drayer is a certified 500-hour yoga instructor and has taught for nearly 30 years. Her sessions are given in a non-competitive environment where people are encouraged to participate at a level that is healthful and enjoyable. She is co-author of the book Yoga and Grief: A Compassionate Journey Toward Healing.
