Hand pain is common in people over 40, but there are evidence-based methods to prevent injury and treat pain from common hand problems. Join Patricia Siegel and two UNM occupational therapy graduate students to recognize common hand disorders and discover techniques for protecting and strengthening your hands.

Patricia (Trish) Siegel, Licensed Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Certified Hand Therapist, is an assistant professor at UNM’s Occupational Therapy graduate program. She has extensive experience in hand therapy, and she teaches and conducts research in the area of orthopaedics and hand therapy. Siegel co-authored the American Occupational Therapy Association practice guidelines on rheumatic disorders, as well as a chapter on the wrist and hand in the Handbook of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
