Description

This conversation between two friends, Rabbi Harry Rosenfeld and Rev. Frank Yates, explores the meaning of Jesus for the Jewish and Christian traditions. Part of our conversation is responding to the book Jesus the Jew: A Historian’s Reading of the Gospels by Geza Vermes, a noted Jewish scholar who focuses on the historical Jesus. This conversation hopefully can help all participants understand how Jesus both unites and divides the Jewish and Christian traditions. This conversation is to further inter-faith dialogue and cooperation.

Rev. Dr. Frank Yates is the Parish Associate at First Presbyterian Church. Frank has served as a pastor for 46 years and now teaches a UNM, St. Norbert College and Lewis University. Harry Rosenfeld is Rabbi Emeritus at Congregation Albert. He was an adjunct professor at SUNY Buffalo, Canisius College, and Alaska Pacific University.
