Depression, as well as its affects millions of adults each year, yet it is often misunderstood or overlooked. This class offers a compassionate and insightful exploration into the nature of depression, as well as its causes, symptoms, and effects on individuals and their relationships.

Rev. Dr. Kelly Jackson Brooks, a licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC), holds a Doctorate of Ministry, a master’s degree in Counseling and a master’s degree in Divinity. She is the executive director of Chrysalis Counseling for Clergy and works as an employee assistance provider with Sandia National Laboratory. Kelly is an LPCC with 25-years of experience, and has served as the chair of the New Mexico Counseling Association and the chair of the New Mexico Association for the Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, along with other community and faith-based boards. Involvement in the spiritual, religious, and mental health fields as they relate to community and connection are the foundations and passions of Kelly’s work.
