Description
Since the last Oasis lecture on clouds, maybe you’re spending more time sky gazing. If so, you’ve likely found out that there is more to see than clouds. Ice crystals, water droplets, plasma, and charged particles are responsible for several other unique and colorful phenomena explored in this talk, including rare clouds, atmospheric optics, and electrical features. When you keep looking up, there’s no end to what you may see.
Deirdre Kann has a BS in mathematics and a PhD in atmospheric sciences from Purdue University.
