Description
The monks of the Monastery of Christ in the Desert in northern New Mexico live a quiet and purposeful life devoted to prayer, work and study following the Rule of Benedict. Most of their days are truly silent, but sometimes during their work time or during the ESL classes, they break their silence, share their stories and give wonderful insights into their lives as monks. This class provides a look at some of the challenges of practicing the vocation of a traditional Benedictine monk in today’s world. which Kirk Gulledge taught there.
