The United States Air Force has spent years investigating the UFO phenomenon through initiatives like Projects Sign, Grudge, and Blue Book. Learn how the CIA sponsored the Robertson Panel study, which altered how America would define UFO sightings, and how the Condon Committee’s findings ended our government’s investigation into UFOs. We examine the credible events that leave this phenomenon unexplained, and illustrate the intersection between unexplained sightings and government campaigns.
Barry Roth joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in 1999. He was a board member of the Colorado chapter of MUFON (COMUFON) from 2001 to 2024 and acted as Treasurer and Education Specialist. He was later appointed as Public Information Officer of MUFON International from 2009 to 2012. Roth is currently the Chief Archivist and Historian for The National UFO Historical Records Center in Rio Rancho New Mexico.
