Description
New Mexico is considered to be a desert climate, but both the climate and weather often vary dramatically over small distances. Variations in topography and surface types result in local climates that can be significantly different from an area’s climate classification. The Albuquerque Box, canyon winds, and some aspects of the summer monsoon are examples of the unique regimes covered in this talk.
