Description

After decades of peace and economic growth, Asia faces security challenges, including Taiwan’s conflict with China and the ever-present North Korean threat. In SE Asia, nascent democratic institutions are facing challenges from more authoritarian voices. US policy has never fulfilled the promise of a “Pivot to Asia.” This session focuses on security issues, political developments, and economic trends and their implications for US interests. Presented in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Albuquerque.
