Description

Strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance are the four types of exercise outlined in the National Council on Aging’s Go4Life as critical for aging well. Learn how to strengthen muscles, keep your joints active and lubricated, improve balance, and increase flexibility and endurance. Begin with seated full-body joint warmups; then, do a variety of seated strength, endurance, and flexibility exercises; finally, practice standing balance exercises using a chair for support. Become familiar with weights, resistance bands, and balls. All exercise equipment used in class is provided. Limited enrollment.
