Create a mini flower or leaf painting using molten crayons! Learn about the history of encaustic art, then try a modern version that invites students to use the Encaustic Stylus Pro and crayons to paint a mini work of art. Use the images provided as inspiration, or bring your own. This class is for students of all levels. Whether you are looking to try something new or want to perfect your encaustic practice, join us! All materials provided; bring materials fee of $10 payable to instructor (cash or check). Limited enrollment.
Mikaela Guggino is an Albuquerque artist who specializes in encaustic and manuscript painting. She received her BA in Studio Art and MA in Art History from the University of Denver. Guggino has taught many encaustic workshops around New Mexico. Her art explores themes of history and compassion, as she seeks to understand current events and create empowerment through artmaking.
