Description
There are now estimated to be about 350 North Atlantic right whales, making them among the planet’s most endangered species. This film chronicles the efforts to protect these whales from extinction, the impacts of those efforts on the lobster industry, and how the National Marine Fisheries Service has struggled to balance the vying interest.
Bullfrog Communities uses film and discussion as a simple way for concerned citizens to stay informed about pressing issues: water, economic justice, food, energy & climate change, immigration, and environment. Scott Sharp will lead a discussion after each film.
This is part of the Friday at the Movies series.
