Description

From Valle del Bosque Park we head to the historic Atrisco neighborhood. Much of the walk will be along dirt trails atop the banks of old irrigation ditches (acequias) that tie the neighborhood together. If time and energy permit when we return to our starting point, we will walk to a nearby platform at the edge of the Rio Grande. This leisurely walk will be just over 1 mile on mostly flat, packed clay ground that can be navigated by walkers and possibly rollators; it is not wheelchair accessible. Hiking poles/walking sticks recommended. Restrooms available at start. Enrollment limited to 10.
