A Santa Fe Trader who leaves New Mexico for St. Louis is set upon by weather and thieves. He dies and his assailants are tried and hanged. John Taylor retired in 2010 as the manager of the Integrated Technologies and Systems Strategic Management Group Support Department at Sandia National Laboratories. He has a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from Stanford University. He is author, or coauthor of 50 technical reports and 25 books on a variety of topics including New Mexico history, soccer science, and naval history.
