This lecture traces that history, from the quiet revolution in hospitals during the 1960s to today’s emphasis on patient rights and shared decision-making.
Pilar Murray has practiced law for more than 30 years, focusing on child welfare, mental health, civil rights, criminal, and employment law. She is recognized for advancing the rights of vulnerable populations, including strengthening protections for disabled parents under the Americans with Disabilities Act and advocating for individuals engaged in peaceful protest. She currently represents children in residential treatment settings in Bernalillo County.
