Global Ties ABQ is hosting a delegation of 9 highly placed officials from Libya visiting the U.S. under the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The subject of their visit is “U.S. State and Local Government” with the objectives to explore operating procedures and policies for community engagement by state and local government, observe community engagement and outreach programs by government entities at the federal, state, and local levels. They will also learn about the benefits of community engagement programs in government operations; and examine responsible leadership and civic participation at the municipal level.
