Nativo Lodge transforms the traditional hotel experience into an immersive gallery, with dozens of guest rooms decorated with murals by Native American artists. Led by the hotel’s manager, visit a selection of these one-of-a-kind spaces and hear how each artist drew on cultural traditions, storytelling, landscape, and their own contemporary influences to create something truly unique. Kevin Perez, General Manager of Nativo Lodge, and local mural historian Robin Dunitz lead this tour. Perez previously worked at several Heritage Hotels & Resorts properties in Albuquerque and Las Cruces and is passionate about the hotel’s unique art program. A lifelong Albuquerque resident, he brings an insider’s perspective to Nativo’s collection of artist-designed rooms. Dunitz has spent the past five years photographing Native American murals throughout New Mexico.
