Description

If you live in Albuquerque, you cannot help but know about hot air balloons. However, the world of lighter-than-air flight is much broader than what we see in our October skies. Join expert pilot and flight instructor Troy Bradley for a personal exploration of the Balloon Museum. Learn the art and science behind all kinds of balloons, hear about his efforts to push boundaries with lighter-than-air aviation, and see historic artifacts from world record-setting events. Limited enrollment.

Troy Bradley grew up ballooning with his grandparents in Colorado. He moved to Albuquerque when he was 19 to work for Sid Cutter, the founder of the Balloon Fiesta. Bradley is the most prolific record-setter in ballooning, with 64 world records, including balloon flights across both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. He has flown over 9,400 hours, which means more than a year of his life has been spent in the air.
