A native New Mexican with a BA from the UNM and an MA from New Mexico State University, Jennifer Bohnhoff spent her career teaching history throughout public schools in Albuquerque and Edgewood. She retired in 2021 and now writes award-winning historical fiction. Bohnhoff and her family portaged, hiked, and backpacked Isle Royale in 2000. That experience led her to write Perspective, a historical novel set there during the Great Depression.
