A Band Named Sue likes to call themselves Albuquerque’s premier queer and trans country band. If others want to challenge that, they’d love to have a joint concert! Their lovely harmonies and inspirational instrumentals take you from tear-jerking ballads to romping dance tunes in an instant. Come prepared to sing and dance!
A Band Named Sue is a five-piece ensemble comprised of Adrien Lawyer, Beck Rivera, Carmela Starace, Dair Obenshain, and Persephone Wilson. Together, the group performs on violin, mandolin, bass, and guitar. Having played live on KUNM and at Festivals across Albuquerque, they’re a true New Mexico band.
